Today was looping day.

After doing a "looping clinic" on the beach in light winds with Lucy and several others the day before, the talk was talked and the gauntlet thrown down. Many tips were exchanged, and we were all saying we'd go for it on the next windy day...

...and we all did!

Quite a few of us sailed out and looped off the first wave on the first run - none sailed away, but my first was landed with the sail still in my hands and flying, and a quick waterstart away took me to the next wave for another go (not so successful!). Two attempts on the first run really psyched me up for the day, and many others did much the same.

Part 2 was "meet on the beach at 12:00", where we divided into two groups of 4 and took it in turns to do 10-minute runs. Many more loops were attempted by everyone - some for the first ever time. Serious respect to everyone for trying, and for no-one bottling it!

After a knackering first hour, the rest of the day was devoted to wavesailing, which was also pretty good.

One of my top sessions of all time!
